Book Coaching
Book coaching services are available to authors looking to shape a story at any level of development. If you have an idea for a book or have a first draft but don’t know where how to move forward, try my book coaching services. I am available for outline/structure development, drafting help, copy and proof editing services, as well as query-writing help. Think of me as your editor-in-chief in your book writing process!
Developmental Editing
You have a first draft! Amazing job! Most first drafts need to go through a developmental edit where an outside set of eyes looks at the structure, plot, characterization, among other things. I comb through your project, providing a thorough and in-depth review of your manuscript. I keep your target audience in mind while adhering to industry expectations, staying true to your vision as an author and what YOU have to say.
Copyediting
After you have a strong story, complete with a purposeful structure, characterization, and plot, you’re ready to polish your manuscript in order to send it off to publishers, agents, or readers. I offer help with grammar, punctuation, word choice, and consistency. I can assist with making dialogue come alive, with fixing those pesky grammar issues that always seem to pop up, or with formatting before a book goes to press.
GhostWriting
Along with editing, I offer co-writing and ghostwriting services, so if you have an idea for a story but don’t know where to start or find yourself drowning in to-do lists, I can help you write your story. I can rewrite sections of your manuscript so that it comes alive for readers, or I can take on an entire project in order to get your story into the hands of readers. I am able to adapt my style to match the needs of your book and your target audience, and I am a flexible partner who loves to tackle new things.
Query Help
If you have a project that is finished, I can review your manuscript and draft/edit your query letter. I am available to read through your finished manuscript to see if it’s ready for the querying process, and if you’re ready to start sending your work out, I can help with your query letter. The query letter and first 10 pages of your novel are the first things that an agent or a publisher will see when it comes to your work.
